Art House

Our place is at Flat Number 53/11 on Library Road, right near Pul Mithai in the Azad Market area. Finding us can be a bit tricky because the lanes are narrow and there is always a lot of traffic from Dariba Kalan and the hospital nearby. We use the flat to store art supplies and work on different projects. It’s a bit of a mess most of the time, with brushes soaking in jars, tubes of paint everywhere, and canvases leaning against the walls. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we are doing, they usually have to step over a few boxes and find a spot to stand. The light in the rooms isn't always great, so we use a lot of lamps to see what we are painting or framing. It is a busy part of town, so you can always hear the horns and the people shouting in the market while we work. We spend a lot of time just organizing the inventory and making sure the frames are cut correctly. Sometimes we run out of a certain color and have to go hunting for it in the local markets. It’s a practical space for people who actually make things. We aren't trying to be a high-end gallery; we are just a small spot where art happens and things get built. It’s a bit dusty and crowded, but it works for what we need.
