K. A. G. Cards & Arts

Finding us in Chawri Bazar can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. We are located at 3797, and the shop is usually packed with samples of cards and paper. K. A. G. Cards & Arts is a small operation, but we stay busy because people are always getting married or having celebrations. The shelves are overflowing with different colors and textures of cardstock. It’s a bit chaotic inside, with stacks of envelopes everywhere and the smell of fresh ink always in the air. We don't have a big fancy showroom. Instead, you sit on one of the stools and we pull down books of designs for you to look through. The street outside is a constant stream of rickshaws and people carrying heavy loads, so it's never quiet. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other shopkeepers on the block and we often share a cup of tea while waiting for customers. We don't do much in the way of fancy branding or slick commercials. People just know that if they need a card printed, they can come here and we will figure it out. We make mistakes sometimes, like a smudge on a proof, but we always fix it. It’s a very hands-on kind of life here in the heart of the old city, and we wouldn't really know how to work anywhere else. We just like paper and art and helping people celebrate.
