Aanchal Flora

Aanchal Flora is located on the ground floor right in the heart of Central Market in Ashok Vihar Phase I. It's a busy market and we've been part of it for quite a few years now. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just wander in while they are doing their other shopping. The shop is usually a bit of a mess with flower petals on the ground and rolls of ribbon sitting on the counters. We don't try to make it look like a showroom. It’s a place where work gets done. We spend a lot of time sitting on the floor or on low stools, putting together bunches of whatever is in season. Ashok Vihar Phase I is a nice neighborhood, and the people who come into the Central Market are usually our regulars. They know us by name and we know what they usually like. We don't have a big corporate team, it's just a few of us handling the daily chores. We wake up early to get the best picks from the mandi and then spend the rest of the day trimming and watering. The smell of the shop is a mix of wet newspaper and roses. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like being here in the market. We just keep doing our thing, one day at a time, making sure there are enough flowers for whoever stops by. It gets busy on weekends.
