Shree Bala Ji Engineers

Our place is at Bhagirath Palace, 1797/3-B. If you know Delhi, you know how crowded this market gets. It is one of those spots where you have to watch your step because of all the wires and people carrying boxes. Being engineers means the shop is usually full of parts, tools, and things that need fixing or sorting out. It isn't a clean, shiny office like the ones you see in the big glass buildings. Here, there is dust, the smell of metal, and always someone shouting for a tea delivery. The days go by looking at technical drawings or checking the inventory we have in the back. The space is tight, like most shops in this area, but we have managed to fit everything we need into 3-B. Some days the electricity fluctuates, and everyone just has to wait it out. It's a bit of a maze to get here if you aren't used to the lanes of Bhagirath Palace. This building has been our base for quite some time now, and the other shopkeepers around us are familiar faces. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the summer heat hits and the narrow lanes trap all that warm air. The focus stays on the machines and the orders that come in. There is always something to be tightened or a part to be sourced from a neighbor. Most of us head home once the market starts to quiet down in the evening.
