Shardha Engineering Works

We are located on Street No-8 in Gopal Pur Village. It’s pretty close to Mukherjee Nagar, so it’s easy for people to find us. Shardha Engineering Works started off as a tiny shed with just a few basic tools. Over time, we added more equipment, but the place still feels the same. There’s always a smell of oil and burnt metal in the air. We don't have any air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that rattles when it’s on high. It’s hard work, and your clothes always end up stained, but it’s what we do. We’ve got a few regular customers from the village and some from further away who don’t mind the drive. Sometimes the cows block the road outside, and we have to wait for them to move before we can get any deliveries in. It’s a very local kind of business. We know the names of the people who live in the houses nearby. My son helps me with the accounts on the weekends because I’m not very good with the computer stuff. We just try to do a decent job every day and go home tired. There isn’t much more to it than that. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one we painted ourselves. It’s been enough for us all these years. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever comes through the door each morning.
