Sangam Power Tools

We are located at 3948 G B Road. It is a busy spot on a crowded street. Lots of people walk by every day looking for drills or saws or whatever they need for a project. I’ve been sitting in this shop since the early morning hours. The space isn't huge, but we somehow pack a lot of inventory onto the shelves. There is always a bit of dust coming in from the street, but that is just how it is around here. You eventually get used to the constant noise of the traffic and the horns. Sometimes we sit outside on a small wooden stool when things get quiet for a minute. People bring in their old, broken tools and ask if they can be fixed. Most of the time we have the parts right here on the shelf. If we don't, I have to go look for it in the messy storage area at the back. It is hard work lifting these heavy boxes around all day. My hands stay dirty most of the time. But it feels okay to see someone walk out with exactly what they needed to fix their roof or finish a job. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a simple shop with tools. This area has its own rhythm, and every morning we just roll up the shutters and start again. It’s honest work.
