Samrat Engineers Co

Down here at G B Road, specifically Chowk Niarian at number 2849, things are always moving. Samrat Engineers Co is basically where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s an old part of the city and the streets are narrow, so getting things in and out can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We deal with engineering stuff, mostly mechanical bits and pieces that people need for their workshops. The floor is usually a bit oily and there is the constant sound of metal hitting metal nearby. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear your best clothes. We just focus on the machines and making sure the parts are right. Customers come in with all sorts of problems, wanting a specific gear or a tool they can’t find anywhere else. We don’t have a big front office or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find one of us standing behind the counter or checking the stock in the back room. The lighting isn't great, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical business. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the way we handle our work stays about the same. It’s about being there when someone needs a part to get their own machine running again. We keep the shop open till late most days, just finishing up whatever work is left on the bench before heading home for the night.
