You’ll find us at 3832/33 in Chawri Bazar, which is just off the main road. If you’ve ever been to Chawri Bazar, you know how packed and narrow the streets are. It’s a challenge just to get a handcart through sometimes. We’ve been running S. Kumar Agencie out of this old building for many years now. The walls are thick and it stays a bit cooler inside during the summer, which is a blessing. We sell all sorts of items and the shelves are high, so we often have to use a ladder to get things down for people. It’s a noisy place with people shouting and horns honking outside all day long. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our stock is kept in the back or up on the mezzanine level. We know our regulars by their voices before they even walk through the door. Usually, we are busy checking invoices or helping someone find a specific part they need. We take our tea breaks sitting on the wooden stools near the entrance. It’s a traditional way of doing business, and we haven't felt the need to change much over the years. We don't have a marketing department; we just rely on our name in the market. It’s hard work, but we are proud to be part of the history of this area.
