Randhawa Engg. Works

At B-50, G. T. Karnal Road, in the Industrial Area, you will find Randhawa Engg. Works. We have been working out of this same spot for quite a few years now. The workshop is usually a bit cluttered with various projects we are working on at any given time. There is a lot of iron and steel lying around, and the smell of grease is pretty much permanent. We don't spend a lot of time on decorating the place because that’s not what we’re here for. We’re here to get the engineering work done. Our days are filled with the sounds of drills and the clanking of metal. It can get pretty loud, so we mostly communicate with nods and hand signals when the machines are running. The location on GT Karnal Road is convenient for getting materials in and out, even if the road itself is always crowded. We have a small group of guys who have been here since the beginning. We don't use fancy titles or have big office parties. Usually, we just sit together for a quick lunch and then get back to the tasks at hand. It’s a practical life. We take on the jobs that come our way and try to get them finished without too much fuss. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out. It’s just the normal reality of running a small engineering shop in this area.
