Our workshop is over in the Badli Industrial Estate, Phase-I, at B-8/5. We’ve been focusing on dairy equipment for quite some time now. It’s a specific kind of work, dealing with milk tanks and processing lines. Everything has to be clean and made of the right materials, or it just doesn't work for the farmers. We spend a lot of time on the road visiting sites, but the main engineering happens here in Badli. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We have our tools, our drawings, and a lot of spare parts stacked up on the shelves. Sometimes people call us just to ask how to fix a valve or a pump, and we try to help them out over the phone if we can. New Dairy Engineering & Trading started out as a small trading outfit but we ended up doing more of the actual engineering as we went along. The estate is always crowded with tempos and rickshaws, so getting things in and out takes some patience. We aren't interested in making a big show of things. We just want to make sure the equipment we sell or fix stays running for the long haul. Most of us here have been in the dairy line for our whole lives. We know what happens when a chiller fails in the middle of the night, so we take the work seriously. It’s just us and the machines, really, getting through the daily list of jobs.
