N N Brothers

Our shop, N N Brothers, is located at 189 in the Meena Bazar area, right by the Jama Masjid. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know how incredibly crowded and lively it is. There is no such thing as a quiet day here. The shop is small and packed with as much as we can fit inside. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes you have to move three things just to get to the one you actually need. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. We don't have any of the modern bells and whistles like fancy lighting or air conditioning. We just have a couple of old ceiling fans that do their best to keep the air moving. The stone floors are worn smooth from all the feet that have walked over them over the years. Outside, the sounds of the bazaar are constant—people bartering, bells ringing, and the general roar of the crowd. We’ve been at this same spot for a long time, and we know our neighbors and the regular faces who pass by. We don't have a fancy sign, just the name N N Brothers. We open the shutters in the morning and we don't close them until the sun has been down for a while. It’s a lot of hard work in a small space, but it’s what we know. We just take each day as it comes.
