Modi Machine Tools

You can find us over at Df-49 on the second floor of the building along Hamdard Marg in Hauz Qazi. Being on the second floor means we have to carry a lot of stuff up and down the stairs, which keeps us pretty tired by the end of the day. Hauz Qazi is the kind of area where you really have to know where you are going or you will get lost in all the small lanes. We have been operating Modi Machine Tools here for a while, focusing on the bigger equipment and machine parts that the local factories need. The office part of the shop is mostly just a desk piled high with invoices and a computer that is a few years too old. We keep the heavier machine tools in the back rooms where there is more space. It gets a bit cramped when a few customers come in at once, but we manage to make it work. Most of our day is spent checking the stock or talking to suppliers on the phone to see when the next shipment is coming in. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. It is a bit of a walk up those stairs, but once you are here, we usually have what is needed for the machines. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the hardware.
