Maya Ram Sajjan Kumar Jain is located in the Ganpati Market section of Chawri Bazar. Our address is 3598/1 and it is right in the thick of one of the busiest markets in old Delhi. If you have ever been to Chawri Bazar, you know how narrow the lanes are and how much stuff is being moved around on cycles and carts. We have a small shop here where we deal in various goods. The history of this area is long and we have been here for a long time. The shop is old and the walls could probably tell a lot of stories if they could talk. We sit here among the stacks of items and wait for customers to find their way through the crowd. It is a loud place with people shouting and bells ringing all the time. We don't have a lot of space so we have to be very careful about how we stack things. Usually, we are busy writing out bills by hand or checking the stock that arrived in the morning. It is a traditional way of doing business and we haven't seen a reason to change it. We know the other shopkeepers around us and it feels like a community. Dealing with the heat and the crowds is just part of the job. We are here every day except for the holidays. It is a crowded spot but it is where we work.
