Maharaja Machinery Store

Our store, Maharaja Machinery Store, is at 48/13 G B Road. We are tucked right behind the Dena Bank, which is a big landmark for people looking for us. G B Road is famous for all sorts of machinery and hardware, and it’s a very hectic place to be. There are carts and trucks blocking the path almost every hour of the day. Our shop is filled with heavy equipment and parts that we’ve gathered over time. It’s a bit dark inside, and the air always feels a little heavy with the smell of iron. We don’t have much room to move around because of all the stock we keep on the floor. Behind the Dena Bank, it gets a bit quieter, but the noise from the main road still reaches us. We’ve been at 48/13 for a long time, and the building shows its age. The walls are stained, and the ceiling has some water marks from the last monsoon. We just sit on our stools and wait for customers to come in with their lists. It’s a lot of looking through old catalogs and finding the right parts in the back. We don't use much technology here, mostly just paper and pens. It’s a traditional way of doing things, but it works for us. We just keep the machinery moving and handle the daily trade as it comes.
