Laxman Engineering Works

Our workshop is at D-139 in Sector-4. This is the Dsiidc Industrial Area in Bawana, which is usually quite noisy and dusty because of all the construction and the other factories nearby. Laxman Engineering Works has been around this part of Delhi for a long time. We have a few old machines that still work perfectly and some newer ones we bought a couple of years back. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil, but that is just how an engineering shop looks. We spend most of our hours fixing things or making parts that people need for their own machines. It is hard work and your hands get dirty within the first ten minutes of the shift starting. There is no air conditioning in the main work area, so we just leave the big doors open to catch whatever breeze there is. Most of us have been working together for years so we know how everyone likes their tea and who is the best at welding the tricky bits. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to make sure the stuff we send out is solid and doesn't break. It’s a simple life here in Bawana. We show up early, do the work, and then head home when the sun goes down. Nothing more to it than that, really. It gets the job done and keeps us busy every single day.
