Lavanya Jewellers is up on the first floor of Ram Rahim Market in Rui Mandi. The address is 5021/2. Sadar Bazar is a crazy place to work, especially Rui Mandi where everything is wholesale. We are right in the thick of it. Our shop is usually packed with boxes because we get new stock in almost every day. We don't have much room for fancy decorations. We just have some glass counters and some stools for people to sit on. It’s mostly imitation jewelry and small trinkets that we sell in bulk. The noise from the street below never really stops until very late at night. We have a few staff members who help with the packing and the loading. It’s a lot of sweat and hard work keeping everything organized in such a small space. We don't spend money on ads. We just rely on the fact that thousands of people walk through Ram Rahim Market every day. Sometimes the stairs are slippery or the hallway is blocked with someone else's delivery, but that's just Sadar Bazar for you. We try to be fair with our prices so people keep coming back. It’s not a glamorous life, even if we are surrounded by shiny things. We just come in, do the work, and head home when the market finally shuts down for the night. The building is a bit old but we are used to it by now.
