We have been operating out of 2732 Naya Bazar for a long time now. If you have ever been down this way, you know how it gets during the middle of the day. There are rickshaws everywhere and the smell of spices and dust is always in the air. Our space isn't very large but it fits what we need to get through the day. Most mornings start with unlocking the heavy metal shutter and checking what came in overnight. It is a bit of a maze back here in the market. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two but we just keep working by the doorway light. People walk past all day and we know most of the neighbors by name. It is not the quietest place to work but it has a lot of life in it. We deal with various goods and the paperwork piles up on the old wooden desk. Usually, someone is making tea in the back and the sound of the ceiling fan is just part of the background. It feels right being here in the heart of the trading district. You see the same faces every week and that makes the work feel more like a community thing than just a job. We don’t have fancy chairs or glass walls, just regular shelves and plenty of hustle. It’s just how things are at Krishna Kumar Co. in this part of town.
