Krishna Industrial Store

Krishna Industrial Store is located at 244/1 in the Phatak Karore area of Chawri Bazar, right near Ajmeri Gate. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with all the rickshaws and delivery bikes. Our shop is a bit small, but we pack a lot into it. We sell industrial supplies and tools that people in the trades need. It’s a lot of metal, bolts, and heavy items. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so we use a ladder quite a bit. It’s dusty work and our hands are rarely clean by the end of the day. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. Customers come in and tell us what they’re trying to fix, and we try to find the right bit for them. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in ledgers or kept in our heads. It works for us. Chawri Bazar is a tough place to navigate, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. There’s a certain energy here that keeps you moving. We close up when the sun goes down and start all over again the next morning. It’s just how we’ve always done it. No frills, just a local store selling hard goods to the people who need them.
