Khandelwal & Khandelwal

Chawri Bazar is always a bit of a mess with all the rickshaws and people everywhere. Our place at 3490 is right in the middle of that chaos. We’ve been operating under the name Khandelwal & Khandelwal for quite some time. It's a small space, like most shops around here, but we pack it full of whatever we’re trading. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure things move along. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years. They know the tea shop nearby and they know where to park their bikes before walking over. We don't have a website that does much, and we certainly don't use those big marketing slogans. We just sell what we have and try to be fair about it. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it works for us. Some days it’s so busy we barely have time to eat lunch, and other days we just sit and talk to the other shopkeepers about how the market is moving. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don’t see any reason to change it much. If you need something, you just come by 3490 and ask. We probably have it tucked away somewhere on a high shelf. We don't bother with fancy displays or lighting. The work is what matters, and the relationship we have with the people who buy from us.
