Jatin Sales Corporation

Our shop is at 170 in the New Lajpat Rai Market, right in the heart of Chandni Chowk. You probably know how crazy it gets down there with the rickshaws and the tourists and everyone trying to get somewhere. It’s a small space, like most of the shops in this market, so every inch of the wall is covered with stuff. We deal in various items, and it can get pretty cramped when three or four people are inside at the same time. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and we’ve seen the market change a lot, but the noise never really goes away. We drink a lot of tea to keep our energy up during the long shifts. It’s a lot of shouting back and forth with the other shopkeepers and the delivery guys. Jatin Sales Corporation is just a regular market shop. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on being here every day and knowing our stock. Sometimes we have to climb up a ladder to get things from the top shelves, which is a bit of a workout. It’s dusty and loud and sometimes the rain leaks in near the door, but it’s our place. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure we don't lose track of the orders and receipts.
