Our shop is at 3965/111 in Azad Market, right near Ajmeri Gate. It’s a busy spot where there is always something going on. We focus on power tools, like drills and grinders and saws. If you walk into our place, you’ll see boxes stacked up and some tools out on display so people can feel the weight of them. We don't have a lot of space for sitting around. Most people come in with a broken tool or they need a new one for a job they’re starting that morning. We do some repairs in the back, so there’s often the sound of a motor being tested or the smell of carbon brushes. The traffic outside near the gate is always a mess, so we hear a lot of horns all day long. We have been in this location long enough to know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a tough business because things change fast with new models coming out, but we try to keep the stuff that actually lasts. We don’t talk much about being the top shop or anything; we just sell what we have and fix what we can. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use flashlights to show customers the stock. It’s just how things are in this part of the city. We keep moving forward and selling our tools to the locals who rely on us every single day to get their work finished.
