Hindustan Tools Corner

Hindustan Tools Corner is located right at 237 Jama Masjid, and we have been in this busy part of the city for quite a long time. Our shop is tucked into the narrow lanes where there is always noise from rickshaws and people walking by. It is not a fancy place at all. Inside, you will find shelves stacked high with all kinds of hand tools, wrenches, hammers, and hardware bits that people need for their daily work. Every morning, we pull up the heavy iron shutters and start the day by dusting off the counters, though the dust from the street always finds its way back in. We spend most of the day talking to local workers or homeowners who are looking for a specific bolt or a sturdy saw. Sometimes we sit on small stools near the entrance just to catch a bit of air while waiting for the next person to walk in. We don't really do much in terms of decoration because the tools take up all the space. If you are looking for us, just head toward the mosque area and ask around. Most of the neighbors know where we are. It gets very hot in the summer, so we have a small fan that hums all day long while we sort through boxes of stock. It is a simple way of living, just keeping the shop running and making sure the inventory is there when someone needs it.
