Grind Co. (India) is situated right in the middle of Chawri Bazar. Our address is 3637-38. If you have ever been to Chawri Bazar, you know exactly what it’s like. It is crowded, loud, and full of energy. There is always someone moving something on a cart or a rickshaw trying to squeeze through the narrow gaps. Our shop is part of that world. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while, and we’ve seen the market change and stay the same at the same time. The building itself has that old Delhi character that you can't really find anywhere else. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we have to fit everything into the space we have, but we’ve got a system that works. We don't have any air conditioning or fancy glass doors. It’s an open-front kind of place where the dust from the street sometimes drifts in. We know the tea seller nearby and the other shopkeepers on our stretch. In the mornings, it’s a bit quieter while everyone is setting up their displays, but by noon, it’s a total hive of activity. We deal with the noise and the heat every day because this is where the business is. It’s not a place for someone who wants a quiet office life. It’s for people who like being where the action is. We are just one small part of the big Chawri Bazar puzzle. It stays busy from morning until late at night.
