Durga Traders

We have been running things here at 2699/1 on Lothian Road for quite a while now. Kashmere Gate is always a mess with traffic and people shouting, but that is just how it is in this part of Delhi. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at. There are boxes stacked up in the corners and the shelves are usually pretty full of whatever parts we managed to get in that week. Durga Traders is mostly just me and a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and the accounts. Most days start around ten when we roll up the shutters and try to clear the dust off the counter. It gets really hot in the summer because the fan just moves the warm air around, but we stay busy enough that we don't notice it too much after a while. People come in looking for specific items and sometimes we have to spend twenty minutes digging through the back just to find one little piece. We don't have a big computer system or anything like that, just some old ledgers and a lot of memory about where things are kept. It's a bit chaotic when three customers show up at once and the phone starts ringing, but we manage to get through it. We usually close up late when the street starts to quiet down a bit. It is honest work and we have stayed in this same spot because everyone knows where to find us near the gate.
