We’ve been here at 239/21 Gali Kunjas in Dariba Kalan for quite a while now. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how crowded the lanes get, especially during the wedding seasons when everyone is looking for jewelry and silver. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done. Most days start with opening the shutters early and checking the inventory. The air in Dariba always smells a bit like old stone and metal. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us who have learned the trade over the years. People stop by, sometimes they’re looking for something specific, and other times they just want to ask for directions because these alleys are like a maze. We don't spend much time on decorations or making the shop look like a mall. It’s practical. There’s a lot of noise from the street outside, rickshaws clattering by and people shouting, but once you’re inside, it’s mostly just the sound of work. We handle our orders as they come. Sometimes it’s busy, sometimes it’s slow, that’s just how it goes here. We don't have a big website or a marketing person. It’s just us at the desk, handling the accounts and making sure things are packed right. It’s a plain way of doing business, but it’s how we’ve always operated and it seems to work out fine.
