If you know Chawri Bazar, you know how tight the lanes are. We are at Chitla Gate, specifically 424-E on the first floor of Rama Market. It is an old building, the kind with steep stairs that have been there for decades. Didi Aditya & Sons is just a family thing. It started with the elders and now the rest of us are carrying it on. The rooms are filled with stock and old ledgers that have seen better days. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a reception area. You just walk in and we are there working. Chawri Bazar is always noisy with the rickshaws and people shouting, but inside the market, we have our own rhythm. We deal with whatever comes our way, mostly just keeping the orders straight and talking to the regular people who come by. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and checking the quality by hand. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. It is a practical life. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to do the job we’ve been doing for years. It is honest work in a very old part of town.
