Coffee Day

You can find Coffee Day at Plot No. 127 in Nehru Enclave, Alipur. It’s a bit out of the main city center of Delhi-110036, which makes it a bit different from the other branches you might see. The building is simple and we have some tables set up inside where people can sit. It smells like roasted beans most of the time, which is nice when you first walk in. We spend a lot of time cleaning the counters and making sure the machines are working right. The area in Alipur is growing, but it still has a bit of an open feel compared to the crowded parts of town. There is some dust from the road nearby, so we are always wiping down the windows. We get a mix of people coming in, some just passing through and others who live right there in Nehru Enclave. It’s not a very big place, but it has enough room for a few groups to sit and talk. We don't have fancy music playing, usually just the sound of the grinder and people chatting. The staff stays busy with the morning rush and then it gets a bit slower in the heat of the afternoon. We just try to keep things moving and make sure there is enough milk in the fridge. It’s a straightforward job in a quiet corner of North Delhi. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just reset the machines and keep going. We like it here.
