Berlia Tea Co. (P) Ltd. has its office over in the Amarnath Building, which is part of the whole Bhagirath Palace area. If you’ve ever been around there, you know how crowded it gets with people and goods moving everywhere. Our space is at 1826, and it’s usually filled with the smell of different tea leaves waiting to be sent out. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a good bit of time. It’s not the quietest place to work, especially with all the hustle in the hallways, but it’s home for us. We spend our hours checking the quality of the tea and making sure the packaging is tight so nothing spills. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting chests and sorting through samples. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, just a steady one. Most of the folks we deal with have been buying from us for years, so we know their names and what they like. It’s a practical business. We don't have fancy furniture or a big reception area. It’s mostly just desks, tea samples, and stacks of ledgers. Being in a place like Bhagirath Palace keeps us busy because there’s always something happening right outside our door. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to move the stock, but we manage.
