Brij Machine Tools

Chawri Bazar is a very crowded and old part of the city, and our shop is right in the middle of the chaos at 3603. If you have ever walked through these lanes, you know there are people and carts everywhere. We sell machine tools and have been doing it from this same spot for a long time. Our shop is quite small and we have to stack things high up on the walls to make everything fit. You have to be careful where you step because there is usually some heavy metal part sitting on the floor. The air always smells like machine oil and old paper. We don't use a lot of fancy technology to run the place. Most of our records are kept in big ledgers and we know where every single item is hidden on the shelves. It is a family-run business and we don't have any formal titles or corporate rules. We just open the shutters in the morning and start our day. Sometimes it gets incredibly hot in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth is how most people find us. They know if they need a specific tool for a lathe or a drill, we probably have it tucked away somewhere. It is a busy, noisy life, but we are used to the rhythm of the bazar.
