Bhutani Paper Mart

If you ever walk through Chawri Bazar, you might find us at 998 Katra Mangal Sain. Bhutani Paper Mart has been in this crowded part of the city for a long time. It is a very tight space with stacks of paper reaching all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels like the walls are actually made of paper. The streets outside are always full of people, rickshaws, and handcarts moving goods. It is very loud and there is always something going on. We do not have a website or anything like that. We mostly just talk to people who walk in or call us up on the phone. Our hands are usually dusty from handling all the reams and sheets. It is not a clean, modern shop. It is an old-school paper mart. We know where every type of paper is kept, even if it looks like a mountain of mess to a stranger. We eat our lunch sitting on the stools between the stacks. Sometimes we have to move heavy boxes just to make a path to the back of the shop. Bhutani Paper Mart is a small family-run kind of thing. We do not use big fancy words. We just tell you what we have and the price. That is the way it has always been done in Chawri Bazar. It is hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but we stay busy.
