Ashoka Sales

Ashoka Sales is right in the middle of Hauz Qazi at Summi Market, number 37. If you’ve ever walked through this part of town, you know it’s always crowded and loud. Our shop is just like the others around here, filled with stuff from floor to ceiling. We handle a lot of different items and sometimes it’s hard to see the back wall. We’ve been here for years, and the stairs are a bit worn out from everyone coming and going. My father used to say that if you can’t find it at Hauz Qazi, it doesn't exist. We try to keep that spirit going. It’s not a shiny place with glass windows. It’s more of a practical space where we deal with regular customers who know exactly what they want. Sometimes we sit on the wooden stools and share a quick meal between customers. The market gets really hot in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. We don’t have a website that gets updated every day or a social media page. We just have our shop and our stock. People come in, ask for a price, and we go from there. It’s how business has always been done in this market. We know most of the neighbors and we all just try to get through the day’s work without any extra fuss or noise.
