Art World

If you look for us at 1209 Chah Rahat, you’ll find us right near Jama Masjid. It is one of those places where the streets are always full and there is a lot of history in the walls. Art World is tucked away in this part of town, and it gets pretty loud outside with all the rickshaws and people moving about. We’ve spent a lot of time in this building. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’ve been too busy to get around to it. We mostly just focus on getting the day's tasks finished. It is a tight space, filled with things we’ve collected and work we’re currently doing. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when more than three people are standing inside. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights. You just have to know where to look. Being so close to the Masjid means we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which gives everything a bit of a rhythm. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in the city. We just like what we do here at Chah Rahat. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains and the lanes get muddy. But we still open up and wait to see who comes through the door. It’s a simple way of living and working. No corporate meetings or long presentations, just real life.
