Art Corner

You can find Art Corner over at Shop No. 9 in the Arcade Bazar, right by the Red Fort. Being so close to such a big landmark means we see all sorts of people walking past our door every single day. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of shelf space we have. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once, but that is part of the charm of the bazaar. I spend most of my time behind the small counter, tidying up the items or talking to the other shopkeepers nearby. It is a lively place to be, especially when the tourists are around, though we have plenty of locals who stop by too. The light in the arcade is a bit dim, so we have these bright bulbs that make everything look a bit yellow. We don’t really do any big marketing. I just put a sign out front and hope for the best. Sometimes I sit on a stool outside when it’s quiet just to watch the world go by. The stones of the fort are right there, and you can feel the history of Delhi all around you. It’s a simple shop with a lot of different things tucked away in corners. I try to keep things organized, but it doesn’t always stay that way for long.
