Anand Engineering Company

Our workshop is at 63 G B Road, right in the Angoori Bagh area. It’s a busy part of the city where there’s always the sound of metal hitting metal. Anand Engineering Company has been functioning out of this same spot for a long time. We mostly handle small machine parts and some repair work that requires a bit of lathe work. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, and we sweep it up every evening before locking the gates. It’s not a fancy office, just a practical space where we can get the work done without much fuss. The neighbors are all doing similar industrial work, so it gets quite loud during the day. We have a few old machines that still run perfectly fine if you know how to handle them. I spend most of my day wearing a blue apron that has seen better days. Customers are mostly local laborers or small contractors who need something fixed quickly. We don't do big advertisements. Most people find us because they were walking past or a friend told them we could help. It’s a simple way of doing business. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes the metal too hot to touch, so we start early in the morning to beat the sun. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We have some old posters on the wall that have turned yellow over time, but they have been there forever.
