Allied Pritam Sons

Our shop is tucked away in Suman Market, right across from Circle Market in the heart of Chandni Chowk. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s a maze of narrow lanes and old buildings. Allied Pritam Sons has been part of this landscape for quite a while. The building at number 6 is old, and it has that specific smell of old paper and dust that you only find in Chandni Chowk. We deal with a lot of different goods, mostly whatever our regulars need. It’s a tight space, and we often have to move three things just to get to one. We don't have air conditioning that works very well, so it gets pretty hot in the summer months. But we have our tea and our regular customers who stop by just to chat as much as to buy anything. Dealing with the crowds every day is just part of the job. You get used to the shouting and the bells of the rickshaws outside. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing we’re here at our usual spot. It’s a family-style way of working where we know the names of the kids of the people we do business with. It’s loud, it’s messy, and it’s home for us.
