Raghbir Saran Jain & Sons has been sitting at H-32 in Swadeshi Market for a very long time. If you know Sadar Bazar, you know how crowded and loud it gets every single day. Our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s a small space, like most of the shops in Swadeshi Market, and we have things stacked up almost to the ceiling. It’s a family-run thing, so there’s always someone from the family around to handle things. We don’t use any complicated systems to keep track of what we have. Most of it is just written down in our old registers or we just remember where we put things. The market is a bit of a struggle to get through sometimes, especially with the carts and the people pushing past, but we are used to it by now. We open up early and stay until the market starts to wind down in the evening. There isn’t much room to move around inside H-32, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be anything flashy. We just provide what people need and keep our word. It’s a simple way of doing business that has worked for us through all these years. If you come by, you’ll likely find us drinking tea and talking to one of the regulars who has been coming here for decades. It is a bit chaotic, but that is Sadar Bazar for you.
