We've been at No. 108-109 in the NSEZ for a while now. It’s mostly just us and the machines, making toys and different types of fabric. The day starts early when the gates open and the staff starts filtering in. It can get pretty noisy once everything is running, but you get used to it. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and making sure the stitching on the stuffed animals is tight enough so things don't fall apart. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and it messes up the schedule, but we just keep going. It’s a lot of physical work, moving boxes around and keeping the floors clear of scrap material. The weather inside is okay because of the high ceilings, but it gets humid in the afternoons. We aren't a huge team, but everyone knows their job. We handle a lot of different textiles too, not just the toy parts. People think it's all fun because of the toys, but it's really just a lot of cutting, sewing, and packing. We have piles of fluff and rolls of cloth everywhere. Most of the guys have been here for years. We eat lunch together in the break area and talk about whatever is on the news. It’s not a fancy setup, just a regular workplace where we get things done and go home.
