Tamilnadu Store

You can find us at shop 184 in the INA Market. It is a busy place, especially in the mornings when the fresh supplies come in. Tamilnadu Store has been a part of this market for a long time. We carry things that are hard to find in other parts of the city. The shop smells like spices and dried goods, which I have grown used to over the years. It is not a huge place, so things are stacked quite high. Sometimes I have to use a long stick to get things down from the top shelves. It is a bit of a squeeze when there are more than three customers inside. We don't have a fancy billing system. I just write things down and give you the total. Many people come from far away just to get specific ingredients they can't get elsewhere. We try to keep everything in stock, but sometimes the shipments from the south get delayed. That's just part of the trade. I spend a lot of my day talking to customers about what they are cooking. It is a noisy market with people always pushing past, but we like the energy here. The wooden floorboards creak a bit when you walk on them. We don't have a website or any of that. If you need something, you just have to come down to INA and find us. It is just us here.
