Delhi Cottage & Handicrafts

If you head over to Connaught Place and go behind the old Regal Cinema, you’ll find us at Roys Business Centre. Delhi Cottage & Handicrafts has been in this spot for a while. It’s a very busy area with tourists and locals always walking by. Our space is a bit small, but we cram as much as we can into it. There are shelves filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected and made. It can get a bit dusty because of all the foot traffic outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just me and a couple of others who handle the day-to-day stuff. We talk to people who wander in, though most of our work is done through regular contacts. The building itself is quite old, so the pipes sometimes creak, but it has character. We like being in the heart of the city, even if the noise never really stops. You can hear the traffic and the shouting from the main square all day long. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just open the doors in the morning and see what the day brings. The stairs up to our office are quite steep and narrow, so we always tell people to watch their step. There is a small window that looks out onto the alleyway, and we can see the vendors setting up their stalls every morning. It’s interesting to watch the city wake up from up here. We keep the inventory in big wooden crates that take up most of the floor space.
