Being at D-18 in Connaught Place puts us right in the middle of everything. It's an old building, like most things in this part of town. You can feel the history in the walls, even if the paint is peeling a bit in the corners. We do overseas work, which means lots of late nights because of the time differences. The office is usually cluttered with samples and shipping documents. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for all the files we've collected over the years. CP is always loud. There is always music or people talking outside, but once you’re inside the office, it settles down a little. We have a small team, and most of us have been here for years. We know the local chai wallah and where to get the best lunch nearby. It’s not a sleek, modern tech office. It’s more of a traditional setup with wooden desks and big cupboards. Working in overseas trade involves a lot of waiting for calls and checking schedules. We don’t do much advertising; most people just know we’re here at D-18. The stairs are a bit steep, so we tell people to take their time coming up. It’s just a regular day-to-day business operation. We try to keep things organized, but when three shipments arrive at once, it gets a bit chaotic. That’s just part of the job here in the city. We keep a pot of tea going most afternoons.
