Precious Arts is tucked away inside Palika Bazar, right at shop 107. If you’ve ever been down into the underground market at Connaught Place, you know how it is. It’s crowded, the lights are bright, and there’s always someone calling out to you about a bargain. Our shop is one of many, filled with all sorts of things we’ve gathered over time. We have various pieces of art, some small trinkets, and things that people like to take home as gifts or keepsakes. It’s not a huge place, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk in. The air conditioning in the bazaar works when it wants to, so some days are sweatier than others. We spend most of our time dusting the shelves because the dust down here never seems to stop moving. It’s interesting work because you never know who is going to walk through the door next. One minute it’s a tourist looking for a souvenir, the next it’s a local who has been coming to us for years. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. We just open up the shutters every morning and wait to see what the day brings. Most of the items we keep have a story, though we don't always have time to tell them to everyone. It’s just a busy little shop in a busy part of the city. We’ve been at 107 for a long time now and seen the market change.
