Singing Bells

Our shop is at 128 Ghaffar Market in Karol Bagh. If you’ve ever been to Ghaffar, you know it’s the place to go if you need electronics or mobile repairs, though there’s a bit of everything else too. It’s a very loud and energetic market. Our spot at number 128 is right in the middle of all that chaos. From the moment we open the shutters in the morning, there’s a constant stream of people walking past and vendors calling out. The shop itself isn’t very big. We have enough room for our inventory and a small space for us to stand and talk to anyone who drops in. We don’t have fancy carpets or designer lights. It’s just a regular market shop with white walls and some simple shelving. The heat in the summer can be pretty intense since the market gets so packed, but we have a small wall fan that helps a bit. We spend a lot of time just watching the crowd go by when things are slow. It’s a great place for people-watching. Most of the other shopkeepers around us have been here as long as we have, so we all look out for each other. We don't have a big corporate team; it's just a couple of us handling everything from opening up in the morning to closing at night. It’s a busy life here in Karol Bagh, and 128 is our little corner of it where we get our work done.
