Asha Music Academy

Our music academy is located at house 7441 in Vasant Kunj. It is not a big commercial building; it is a more personal space where we teach music. We have been here for a few years now, using a couple of rooms for lessons. You will see some guitars leaning against the walls and a keyboard in the corner. We wanted to create a place where people in Vasant Kunj could come and learn an instrument without it feeling like a strict school. Most of our students are local children who come by after their school day is over. We also have some adults who stop in during the evenings. The atmosphere is very casual. Sometimes there is a bit of a mess with sheet music and instrument cases on the floor. We don't have a fancy lobby or a secretary. Usually, we are just in the middle of a lesson when someone knocks on the door. It is nice to hear the different sounds coming from the rooms, even if someone is just starting out and hitting a few wrong notes. We have lived in this area for a long time and enjoy being part of the neighborhood. We don't do much marketing; word of mouth from parents and friends is usually how people find out about us. It is a quiet, simple way to share our love for music with the people living nearby.
