School Of Symphony

Our place is down in the basement at 21/134 in Vikram Vihar. It’s tucked away near Lajpat Nagar IV, so if you aren't looking closely, you might miss the entrance. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler, which is nice when everyone is practicing at once. It gets pretty loud down here sometimes with the different instruments going, but that is just part of the daily life at School Of Symphony. We have a few rooms set up for lessons. They aren't huge, but they fit a piano or a couple of chairs well enough. Some of the walls have old posters on them, and there is always a bit of dust on the instrument cases in the corners. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a while now. Most of the people who come by live in the neighborhood or just a few blocks over. It’s not the kind of place with a big lobby or a front desk person sitting there all day. Usually, you just walk in, find your teacher, and start playing. Sometimes the stairs are a bit narrow, so carrying a big cello down can be a bit of a struggle. We just try to keep the instruments tuned and the schedules mostly on time. It is a simple setup for people who just want to learn some music without a lot of fuss. It feels like a second home to a lot of us who spend our afternoons here.
