Daulat Ram School Of Art

We are located in the Derawal Market area of Majlis Park. It is a local art school where we spend most of our days with paints, brushes, and paper. Daulat Ram School Of Art isn't a massive institution or anything like that. It’s just a few rooms where people can come and learn how to draw or paint a bit better. We have students of all ages coming in. Some are just kids who want to mess around with colors, and others are older folks looking for a hobby to pass the time. The market outside is usually quite noisy, but inside we try to keep things a bit more focused so people can work. There is always the smell of turpentine and pencils being sharpened. The floors usually have some paint spills on them that we can’t quite get out no matter how much we scrub. We have been in Majlis Park for a while now, and most of the neighbors know who we are. It’s a practical place. We don't have fancy equipment, just the basics that you need to make art. Sometimes the classes are full and sometimes only a couple of people show up. We don't worry about it too much. We just open up the doors every day and get the supplies ready. It’s a lot of cleaning up after the classes are over. Derawal Market is a good spot for us because it’s easy for people in the neighborhood to reach.
