Mansi Music Centre

Mansi Music Centre is located in Sunder Nagar, inside the Subash Market area of Kotla Mubarakpur. Our shop number is 608. If you’ve ever been to Kotla, you know it’s a maze of shops and narrow paths, but Subash Market is a bit of a landmark. We’ve been surrounded by music for as long as I can remember. We started out with tapes and CDs, but obviously, things have changed. Now it’s more about speakers, repairing old audio systems, and selling some instruments here and there. The shop always has a bit of a hum to it, either from a speaker being tested or someone trying out a guitar. It’s a bit dusty because of all the old stock we keep in the back, but for someone who loves music, it’s a bit like a treasure hunt. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just shelves and shelves of equipment piled up. Sometimes the landlord complains about the noise, but you can’t have a music centre without a little volume. We know most of the local musicians and the people who just want a good sound system for their homes. We don't use any fancy sales pitches. We just let the equipment speak for itself. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way to run a business, but it works for us here in Kotla. We’re just happy to keep the music playing.
