About Kala Vihar - School Of Indian Arts – Education in New Delhi
We have been here at 8 Jor Bagh for a long time now. It’s a quiet spot in New Delhi, and most people around here know where we are. Kala Vihar - School Of Indian Arts is basically what it says on the door. We teach various Indian arts to whoever wants to learn. It gets pretty busy in the afternoons when the students start arriving for their classes. Sometimes it’s a bit noisy with all the music and practice going on, but that’s just how a school works. We aren't a big fancy institution, just a local place where people come to spend a few hours on their hobbies or serious training. The building is old but it stays cool enough in the heat. There’s always someone sitting near the entrance if you need to ask a question. We don't really do much advertising, word of mouth usually brings people in. If you're walking around Jor Bagh, you’ll probably see the sign. It’s not a huge place, but there is enough room for everyone to get their work done. We try to keep things organized but sometimes things get a little cluttered with instruments and supplies. It’s a good environment for learning though. People of all ages come by, from kids to older folks. We just keep doing what we do every day. Usually, the sessions run quite late into the evening. You can hear the sounds from the street if the windows are open. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here at 110003.
