Down at Sainik Farms, you can find us at W86/19. Satyam Kalachetra is tucked away in this quiet corner, though it isn't always quiet inside the building. Most days, you’ll hear the sound of someone practicing an instrument or the thud of feet on the floor during a dance session. The space has that lived-in feel, with some scuffs on the walls and plenty of chairs moved around for different classes. Sainik Farms is a nice area, a bit away from the main rush of Delhi, so it feels a bit more relaxed here. We don’t have a massive staff or a slick front office. It’s usually just a couple of us managing the schedule and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever is coming in next. Sometimes the electricity acts up or we have to move things around because a leak started, but that’s just how it goes with these older spots. We have students coming from all over the neighborhood, and it’s nice to see familiar faces every week. It isn't a high-pressure environment; it’s more about just letting people do their art or learn something new without too much fuss. We usually have some tea sitting on the side table and the door is often left open to let a bit of air in. It’s just a regular place where people come to be creative and spend their afternoons.
