Raj Interiors

We are based at A 166 near Vishwakarma Mandir in Sangam Vihar. Raj Interiors is basically just a small shop where we handle woodwork and home stuff. It’s not fancy. The street outside is usually crowded with people going to the temple. We spend most of our time in the back where the saws and wood piles are. I started this because I grew up learning how to build things with my hands. We don't have a big team or anything. It's usually just a couple of us working on whatever order came in that week. Sometimes the wood takes forever to arrive from the supplier, which is frustrating. We do our work on a heavy old workbench that has seen better days. The walls are covered in dust and we have tools hanging everywhere. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who just walk in. They want a new cupboard or maybe their door fixed. We don't do big advertisements. We just talk to whoever comes by. It gets really hot in the summer and the fan just moves the warm air around, but we stay busy. We like the work even if it is tiring. There’s always a project to finish or a piece of wood that needs sanding. It’s just a normal day for us here in Sangam Vihar. We keep things simple and try to do right by the people who trust us with their furniture.
