Delhi Old Furniture

Over at L-71 Abul Fazal Enclave, we have a lot of stuff piled up. Delhi Old Furniture is basically a warehouse of things people didn't need anymore. We spend a lot of time moving chairs and tables around in Jamia Nagar. It’s dusty work and our hands are usually a bit dirty from checking the wood or the metal frames. We get all sorts of items coming in. Some days it’s an old desk that needs a bit of a wipe down, other days it’s a bunch of stools from a closed cafe. People come here looking for something cheap that still works. We don't have a showroom with lights or anything like that. You just walk in and look around at what’s available. Sometimes we find something really solid buried under a pile of newer stuff. It’s interesting to see what people used to have in their homes. The space is a bit crowded, and you have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a leg of a table. We’ve been in this part of Jamia Nagar for a good bit now. Most folks around here know us because they’ve either bought a cupboard from us or sold us their old bed. It’s just how it goes. We don't try to make things look like they aren't. If it's old, it's old. Sometimes we have to fix a wobbly leg or replace a hinge before someone takes it home. It's a lot of physical labor but it keeps us busy through the week.
